  6. TO INSTALL:
  7. ===========
  8.  
  9. 1.    Extract the files with a long-file-names capable unzipping
  10.     utility ( Winzip 6.0 for Windows 95 is best ) straight into your
  11.     Plus! themes directory, usually C:\Program Files\Plus!\Themes\
  12.  
  13. 2.    There should be two Blade Runner files in the Themes directory & 
  14.     the newly created \Blade Runner directory :
  15.  
  16.     Blade Runner Read Me.txt --  this information file
  17.     
  18.     Blade Runner Theme (high color) -- the selection switch
  19.  
  20.     \Blade Runner --  directory with the theme files in it
  21.  
  22. 3.     Use the Desktop Themes control panel to apply the Blade Runner
  23.     theme to your computer.
  24.  
  25. 4.    Run the following batch file to copy new open & close logo's into 
  26.     Windows 95. ( It will back up your old ones & rename them logo.br 
  27.     & logow.br )

  29.     c:\Program Files\plus!\Themes\Blade Runner\logobkup.bat

  33. Sources & Explanation of all inclusions :

  36. Logo.sys files : recognise them ? the opening Logo is the start of the movie - 
  37. but who is it ? The closing Logo is taken when the Void Kompff machine is being 
  38. used by Holden.  
  39.  
  40. Wallpaper : I think it came from 2019 OFFWORLD - a shot taken from ( I think )
  41. a rare movie poster. I was going to use the original one that can be found common
  42. place - but I really like the colours of this one. Note that if you would like to choose 
  43. from a wide variety of others then check out my WWW page ( see below ).

  45. Icons : made them myself. My Computer is a picture of Deckard about to shoot 
  46. Ursura. Network Neighbourhood is Deckard & Rachel at the piano. Recycle Full is 
  47. the the spinner flying towards the Tyrell Corporation towers and the Recycle Empty
  48. is the spinner about to land at the Tyrell Corporation towers.

  50. Cursors :   copied from various themes including some existing Themes already
  51. floating around on the 'Net. I like the waiting cursor - quite similar to Deckards' gun.

  53. Sounds: made some, copied some - there seems to be an obvious lack of Blade 
  54. Runner sound bites on the 'net ? Hope I'm not infringing.

  56. ScreenSavers : courtesy Windows 95 - although I personally use a wallpaper
  57. swapping program to swap between various screenshots from the movie - saves
  58. my screen from boredom !

  60. Note : if anyone wants to claim responsibility for creating any of the inclusions 
  61. in this Blade Runner theme then that's Ok, fine & thanks.

  67. with this stuff, except sell it for profit - that's Warner Bros. job!
